STRETCH MARKS TREATMENT
Stretch marks are unsightly marks that both women and men face at some point in time, which come to be seen as imperfections and even create complexes.
The procedure is minimally invasive and is performed by introducing a cocktail of active substances into the skin using micro-needles to introduce the substance into the skin layers.
The procedure itself takes about 30 minutes, our doctors recommend a minimum of 5 sessions for optimal effect.
Aesthetic treatments for stretch marks can bring a number of benefits to patients, including:
- Reducing the appearance of stretch marks: Aesthetic treatments can help reduce the appearance of stretch marks and improve the texture of the skin, making them less visible.
- Stimulating collagen production: Some aesthetic treatments, such as laser therapy and microneedling therapy, can stimulate collagen production, which helps improve the appearance of the skin and reduce stretch marks.
- Skin rejuvenation: Aesthetic treatments, such as chemical peels, can help rejuvenate the skin and improve its texture, which can help reduce the appearance of stretch marks.
- Improved self-confidence: Stretch marks can affect a person's self-confidence and can be a source of stress and anxiety. Aesthetic treatments can help improve the appearance of the skin and increase the patient's self-confidence.
- Customised treatments: Aesthetic clinics offer a wide range of stretch mark treatments, so patients can choose the treatment that best suits their needs and preferences.
Stretch marks are thin, long, thin streaks or scars of a different colour to the skin, usually appearing on the abdomen, thighs, buttocks, breasts or arms. They are more common in women, but can also occur in men. Stretch marks form when the skin is subjected to sudden stretching or growth, such as during puberty, pregnancy, weight fluctuations or after treatment with corticosteroids. Over time, the skin thins and deteriorates, revealing streaks or scars. Stretch marks generally appear in two colours – purplish-red or silver-white – depending on their stage. Although stretch marks are not harmful to health, they can be unsightly and cause anxiety or self-esteem problems. There are several treatments available to reduce the appearance of stretch marks, including creams and lotions, laser therapy, microdermabrasion and surgery, but no treatment guarantees total stretch mark elimination.
